Short answer
Pick Jobber if you’re a solo operator or small crew who wants the lowest entry price, works with Xero, or works outside the US.
Pick Housecall Pro if you’re a US HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop that wants a flat-rate price book, financing and online booking on the cheapest plan.
Jobber and Housecall Pro are the two names most US home service businesses shortlist first. They do the same core job: book work, send quotes, schedule the crew, invoice and take payment. Where they differ is how they charge, what’s on the entry plan, and which countries and accounting packages they support.

Price: what you’d actually pay
Both vendors bundle users into plans rather than charging a flat per-user fee, so the cheaper one depends on your team size.
| Team size | Jobber (monthly billing) | Housecall Pro (monthly billing) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 user | Core $49 · Connect $139 · Grow $199 | Basic $79 |
| 5 users | Connect $199 · Grow $299 | Essentials $189 |
| 8 users | Connect 10-user $299 · Grow 10-user $399 | Max $329 |
| 10 users | Connect $299 · Grow $399 | Max $329 + 2 × $35 = $399 |
Annual billing drops every plan: Jobber Core to $29/mo and Housecall Pro Basic to $59/mo. Full plan tables are on our Jobber pricing and Housecall Pro pricing pages.
Where they differ
Price book and flat-rate pricing
Housecall Pro lists a Price Book with flat-rate pricing from the Basic plan. That matters for HVAC and plumbing, where techs quote set prices on site. Jobber has saved products and services with markups, but doesn’t name a price book on its features page.
QuickBooks and Xero
Both sync with QuickBooks Online. On Housecall Pro, QuickBooks Online sync starts at Essentials, not Basic. Jobber also has a Xero integration (Connect and Grow, one-way), which Housecall Pro doesn’t list. If your bookkeeper runs Xero, that alone may decide it.
Online booking, financing and payments
Both offer online booking, a customer portal, card payments and consumer financing. Jobber’s financing is through Wisetack inside quotes. Housecall Pro puts payments and consumer financing on every plan, including Basic.
GPS
Housecall Pro’s employee GPS starts at Essentials. Jobber lists a team map and route optimisation, with live GPS through a FleetSharp integration.
Countries
Housecall Pro’s pricing page is USD only and names no other country. Jobber names the US, Canada and UK for some features and has a Xero link for Australia and New Zealand, though its UK and Australian pricing pages still showed USD when we checked.
Who should pick which
- Solo operator, cost first: Jobber Core.
- US HVAC, plumbing or electrical, flat-rate quoting: Housecall Pro.
- Bookkeeper uses Xero: Jobber.
- 5-10 techs, US only: price both at your exact headcount. On monthly billing Housecall Pro Essentials was $10 cheaper than Jobber Connect at 5 users, while Jobber Connect was cheaper at 8-10 users. Check which features you need on each tier first.
- Bigger shop with call centre and memberships: look at ServiceTitan vs Housecall Pro instead.
