About us and how we compare
Where the facts come from
- Prices come from each vendor's public pricing page. We record the date we read it next to every figure, and re-check every vendor monthly.
- Features (QuickBooks sync, online booking, financing and so on) come from the vendor's own feature and integration pages, linked next to each cell.
- Search demand and what trades ask about comes from keyword data, so we write about the questions people actually search.
What we don't do
- No star ratings or scores. We don't have a lab, and a number out of 10 would be made up.
- No fake reviews, testimonials or "our team tested 40 apps" claims.
- Where we haven't used a product ourselves, we say so and stick to published facts.
How we pick a recommendation
- Does it serve the trade? (Recurring service work, dispatch, price book, the jobs that trade actually does.)
- Is it sold in your country, in your currency, with your accounting package?
- What does it cost at your team size, on the vendor's published price?
- What does the vendor say it can't do, or keep for higher tiers?
